    2019 Housing & Conservation Conference
    Building and Sustaining Healthy Communities

    We want to make this conference accessible so that attendees can participate in a way that meets their needs. When you register you will be asked to describe any accommodations you may require such as parking accessibility, dietary restrictions, or interpretation. VHCB staff will follow up after you register. All requests for accommodations should be received by September 20, 2019. 

    Following is an overview of accommodations:

    • Location: The welcome, plenary and closing ceremony will be held at the Elks Lodge (10 Jefferson Street, Barre). The conference sessions will be held at various locations near and around the Elks Lodge (once registration closes we will assign each session location). A physical copy of the conference schedule and workshop locations will be provided to registrants the morning of the conference.
      • Each conference venue is accessible.
      • We will post maps with the locations of various conference venues and local restaurants for registrants who wish to eat lunch on their own. A physical copy will be provided to registrants the morning of the conference.
      • Parking: There is metered parking available near and around the workshop locations, but we encourage carpooling. Parking attendants will assist registrants throughout the morning. If you require parking in close proximity to the Barre Elks Lodge, or wheelchair accessible parking, please note this when you register. 
    • Bussing for Field Trips:  The buses will meet outside the Elks Lodge before departing on the field trips. Bussing attendants will assist registrants.
    • Dietary needs/restrictions: If you are registering for a box lunch discussion or field trip please indicate your dietary needs or restrictions when you register.
    • Interpreters: if you need interpretation services there is an option to request an interpreter on the registration form.
